Fall in our area is pretty special. The leaves start to turn, the skies get moody, the fields glow golden, patios get a little cozier, and the calendar fills with harvest celebrations, live music, hockey, theatre, end of season golf and good old-fashioned community events.

Whether you’re looking for a family day trip, a night out, a reason to get together with friends or an excuse to take the scenic route, fall is a beautiful time to discover Lloydminster and the communities that surround us.

Here are a few things worth putting on your calendar this season.

Make It a Patio Day

At Timber Café, the garden patio provides a cozy place to linger over coffee, breakfast or lunch while enjoying the seasonal surroundings. It’s one of those Lloydminster spots that feels like a little escape without actually leaving town.

As the temperatures dip, grab a sweater, order something warm and enjoy those last golden days outdoors.

Pumpkin Patch Day

September 26 | Six Acre Homestead

Head just north of Kitscoty for the annual Pumpkin Patch at Six Acre Homestead. The one-day fall celebration takes place September 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and invites visitors to enjoy the farm, pick out pumpkins and experience a little country fall magic.

The 2025 event welcomed nearly 1,000 visitors, making this a regional fall favourite worth adding to your calendar.

A Night at the Theatre

Fall also marks the return of a packed season at Vic Juba Community Theatre.

This season’s calendar includes everything from music and comedy to family entertainment and tribute productions.

3 Corn Mazes to Get Lost In

Ready for some fall fun? Head out of town and explore three local corn maze adventures! Sunderland Corn Maze offers a classic, affordable maze experience, while Maizex Corn Maze near Kitscoty adds farm games, animals and family activities. For a full fall day trip, head to Boser’s Corn Maze in St. Walburg for mazes, games and seasonal activities. Grab the family, enjoy the crisp fall air and see if you can find your way out!
